The annual Cape Amateur Theatre Awards (CATA) were held on 5 March 2018 at the Maque Theatre in Muizenberg. The evening recognised outstanding achievements in the Cape Town Community Theatre.
G&S received 3 awards on the evening: Carrey Wallace received the Best Support Actress in a Musical for her role of the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz; Alastair Cockburn received Best Musical Director for Trial By Jury; and David Bolton received a Certificate of Excellence for his solo “If I were king of the forest” in The Wizard of Oz.
